Notice: Stormwater Outfall Assessment Program

THIS NOTICE CONTAINS IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT UPCOMING STORMWATER INFRASTRUCTURE ASSESSMENT

North Bay Village is working with Ardurra Group, Inc. to conduct a comprehensive visual assessment of existing stormwater outfalls throughout the Village. This assessment is part of our ongoing commitment to maintain and improve the Village’s stormwater infrastructure that protects our community.

What is Being Assessed:
The assessment will focus on stormwater outfalls located along seawalls and landside areas that discharge stormwater into Biscayne Bay. This work involves photographing and documenting the condition of stormwater outfall valves that were installed under the 2018 Outfall Rehabilitation Program.

Property Access Requirements:
Some properties may receive individual notices requesting temporary access to landside areas of seawalls for assessment purposes. The assessment work will be performed from landside only, typically during low tide conditions, and will not involve any invasive testing that may impact properties.

For properties requiring access, Ardurra personnel will coordinate in advance with property owners and/or tenants. Property owners will be asked to sign a Property Access Consent Form to grant permission for this important infrastructure work.

This assessment is part of a larger initiative to ensure our stormwater infrastructure functions properly and helps identify any maintenance needs that may impact our community’s flood protection and water quality.
