At the North Bay Village September Commission Meeting, Mayor Rachel Streitfeld and the Village Commission proudly proclaimed September 14–20, 2026 as “Diaper Need Awareness Week” in North Bay Village, raising awareness of diaper need as an important community issue and honoring the organizations working to provide essential diaper supplies and resources to families with young children.
We were glad to welcome Scarleth Navarro of Miami Diaper Bank, whose organization works tirelessly to make sure no family goes without this basic necessity.
Mark your calendars: Miami Diaper Bank is hosting a Diaper Distribution Pop-Up event next Saturday, September 26, at Miami Dade College’s Homestead Campus – expected to serve more than 500 babies and their families! It’s a great chance to show up and support families experiencing diaper need.
Want to help closer to home? We’re hosting our own Diaper Drive now through October 12 – drop off new, unopened diapers (all sizes), baby soap, and baby wipes at Village Hall, 1st floor. Every donation makes a difference for local families!
