During the Miami-Dade League of Cities best practices conference, North Bay Village Vice Mayor Marvin Wilmoth joined fellow community leaders on a panel moderated by Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine-Cava.
Vice Mayor Wilmoth was selected to speak on the panel to share his ideas on the best ways to tackle the housing affordability crisis in Miami-Dade County. He was joined by Miami-Dade County Commissioner Eileen Higgins, Enrique Teran, Residential President of the Miami Association of Realtors, and Jorge Damian De La Paz, Senior Strategist for Government Innovation for the Miami-Dade County Office of the Mayor.
The purpose of the panel is for leaders across Miami-Dade to explore both short-term and long-term solutions to the affordability crisis. Vice Mayor Wilmoth discussed covering financing for workforce housing programs and leveraging existing programs to give relief to residents.
