Despite the rain, hundreds of North Bay Village residents flooded Galleon Street on Thursday, June 4 to celebrate the grand opening of the Brent W. Latham Community Center!
From kids to seniors, there was food, music, and activities for all to enjoy. This event felt like a true reflection of everything this center was built for: every generation, every passion, and every neighbor in NBV.
We’re so grateful to our 38 sponsors and 30+ vendors who made the evening possible, and deeply thankful to the incredible leaders who joined us to mark this milestone: Mayor Rachel Streitfeld, Vice Mayor Goran Cuk, Commissioners Doris Acosta, Richard Chervony, and Andy Daro, Mayor Emeritus Brent Latham, Miami-Dade County School Board Member, District 3, Joseph S. Geller, and Miami-Dade County Commissioner, District 4, Micky Steinberg.
Stay tuned for updates on the official opening of the center’s doors – the best is yet to come!
