Mayor Rachel Streitfeld shared North Bay Village’s vision for resilient infrastructure at the 4th Annual Florida Infra Day Conference. The Mayor joined leaders from Key Biscayne, Gainesville, and Miami-Dade County’s Office of Innovation and Economic Development on the “Florida’s Infrastructure Renaissance: Innovation for the Future” panel.
Mayor Streitfeld highlighted NBV’s transformational investments in roads, stormwater systems, wastewater infrastructure, and waterfront improvements. Some key highlights from Mayor Streitfeld’s presentation included emphasizing the critical need for coordination between infrastructure projects and stressing that engineers and project managers must prioritize designing with the end user in mind.
“Whether it’s a kayak launch or a storm drain, infrastructure must blend seamlessly with its context and function properly within its surroundings,” said Streitfeld.
These principles are driving North Bay Village’s infrastructure renaissance as we build a more resilient and accessible community for all.
