Youth Advisory Advisory Board

The Youth Advisory Board empowers local youth to become active leaders in municipal governance. We bridge the gap between young residents and Village policymakers by advising the Mayor and Commission on programs, policies, and projects that champion youth civic engagement, community involvement, and local government participation.

As an official voice for the Village’s youth, our five-member board is dedicated to shaping local policies and community life.

We fulfill our mission by:

Advising Leadership: Recommending impactful policies and programs to the Village Commission and departments.

Building Community: Organizing youth-centered events, workshops, town halls, and service days.

Providing Insight: Delivering fact-based feedback on municipal ordinances and proposals affecting young residents.

Amplifying Voices: Ensuring the vital issues and perspectives of local youth are heard by Village decision-makers.
