The North Bay Village Mayor & Commission is proud to announce funding for our third year of scholarships honoring Maria and Sofia Saidi, two beloved daughters of North Bay Village whose lives were tragically cut short.
Maria, a middle school student, found joy in artistic expression through art, writing, and music.
Her sister Sofia, a high school student, excelled in creative writing and academics, sharing her imagination through poetry and prose.
2026 Scholarship Awards:
Sofia Saidi Memorial Scholarship: Two $2,000 awards for graduating high school seniors
Maria Saidi Memorial Scholarship: One $1,000 award for a middle school student
Though their lives were brief, Maria and Sofia’s passions and creativity left an indelible mark on our community. These scholarships continue their legacy by supporting young artists and scholars who call North Bay Village home.
