Young Man Battling Cancer Named Honorary NBVPD Officer

Chief Carlos Noriega had the honor of joining Sheriff Rosie Cordero-Stutz for their swearing-in event at Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office headquarters, where he made Devarjaye ‘DJ’ Daniel an honorary member of the North Bay Village Police Department.

DJ is an incredible young man, who truly embodies courage, hope, and determination, as he pursues his passion and dreams with the law enforcement profession. His story inspires us all to keep fighting, smiling, and believing, no matter how difficuly the odds in life may be.
