Weather Alert: Miami-Dade County Under Tropical Storm Warning and Flood Watch
Miami-Dade County is now under a Tropical Storm Warning and Flood Watch as Hurricane Helene continues to develop. This means tropical storm-force winds are expected within the next 36 hours. Flood watches remain in effect until Friday morning as scattered tropical downpours have already started moving through South Florida. Our area can expect heavy rain off and on which could lead to localized flooding.
We encourage all residents to take advantage of the sandbag distribution to help protect their properties. Remember, being prepared is key to minimizing potential damage from severe weather events. Please use caution while driving and avoid flooded streets.
Stay safe and prepared, North Bay Village!
