Dear Residents,
Although our area is not under a tropical storm watch, North Bay Village residents should prepare for heavy rainfall and potential flooding this weekend. The Village is taking proactive measures to ensure our community’s safety and preparedness. While we are currently not in the direct path of the tropical storm, we are expecting gusty winds, heavy rainfall, and potential flooding. Here’s what you need to know:

* Our Public Works team has been working diligently to prepare our infrastructure:
* All drains have been cleared of debris
* Inlet filter storm screens are removed
* An additional mobile pump has been installed on North Bay Island
* Sandbags have been distributed
Expected Conditions:
* Gusty winds and heavy rainfall
* Possible flooding in low-lying areas
* Meteorologists predict South Florida could see up to 4 inches of rain
Safety Measures:
* Code Enforcement is inspecting construction sites throughout the Village to check for hazards and ensure everything is secure.
* All parks will be closed until Monday for precaution.
* Saturday Yoga in the Park has been cancelled.
Resident Preparedness:
* Secure any loose items on your balconies, patios, or in your yards.
* Stay informed by following official Village communications and local weather reports.
