North Bay Village is thrilled to unveil a stunning new sculpture frame in Vogel Park, created by renowned Florida artist Jeff Whipple. This one-of-a-kind art installation perfectly captures our community’s essence as “The Heart of the Bay.”
Whipple’s innovative design uses sweeping steel arches and intricate metalwork to frame breathtaking views of Biscayne Bay. The piece invites residents and visitors to step inside and become part of the art, posing for memorable photos with the Bay’s glistening waters as the backdrop.
In crafting this masterpiece, the artist drew inspiration from North Bay Village’s unique bayfront setting and the interconnectedness of our community with the natural environment. The undulating lines and organic shapes evoke the Bay’s flowing waters and changing tides.
Thank you to Mayor Brent Latham, Harbor Island Commissioner Andy Daro, and the NBV Community Enhancement Board for championing this public art project. Through a rigorous selection process, they identified Jeff Whipple as the ideal artist to create a piece that encapsulates our village’s spirit.
Come experience this remarkable new landmark for yourself! We can’t wait to see your creative photos embracing the Heart of the Bay!
