Our NBVPD joined law enforcement agencies from across Miami-Dade County for the 6th Annual Childhood Cancer Police Car Initiative.

Our NBVPD joined law enforcement agencies from across Miami-Dade County for the 6th Annual Childhood Cancer Police Car Initiative. Participants in the Gold Ribbon Parade traveled over 30 miles from Nicklaus Children’s Hospital to Holtz Children’s Hospital, to the Ronald McDonald House SF then to Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital.
The event is a heartfelt tribute to our littlest heroes who are courageously battling childhood cancer. Each police vehicle is adorned with the Gold Ribbon that represents the strength of our young fighters. This parade stands as a powerful testament to the unwavering spirit of these children and their families. Our Officers were able to meet many childhood cancer survivors and waved to those anxiously looking out of their hospital room windows.
The Gold Ribbon Parade hopes to raise awareness and to channel collective hope for changing the world of childhood cancer. Thank you to Officer Jessica Polanco and Motor Officer Wuihuson Francois for participating and representing the NBVPD!
