Farewell to Finance Controller Sandra Siefken as she embarks on a new opportunity outside the Village

Your #NBV Please join us in saying farewell to our beloved Finance Controller, Sandra Siefken. After 18 years of dedicated service, her last day with the Village is Friday. Sandra has been a pillar of professionalism and dedication for the last two decades. Known for her kindness and intelligence, Sandra not only managed the Village’s finance with precision but has also been a warm and approachable presence within the community.
Her departure to pursue a new opportunity is bittersweet, as her colleagues in the Village and the residents will miss her immensely.
Sandra’s legacy of financial acumen and her exceptional interpersonal skills will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression on the Village she served so faithfully.
During her time with the Village, she’s often assumed the role of Acting Chief Financial Officer when called upon and was the key factor in developing the Village’s Annual Budget with a commitment to identifying opportunities to save the Village taxpayer’s money. She was instrumental in successfully implementing the Water Meter Reader Program for the Village. Sandra was not only known for her professionalism, but also for her delightful sense of humor. She is not only intelligent, but quick-witted and had an answer for everything, drawing from her extensive knowledge of the Village. Her infectious smile and cheerful demeanor were a constant source of positivity, brightening the days of Village employees and residents alike. As she embarks on a new opportunity, her legacy of financial expertise and her knack for bringing smiles to faces will be fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of working with her.
Our Village Mayor and Commission have declared September 12, 2023 as Sandra Siefken Day. We will miss you!
