North Bay Village, FL – The North Bay Village Police Department is excited to announce its newest member, K-9 Willy, a two-year-old beagle who is set to become an integral part of our community. Willy is assigned to Sgt. Amy Gordon, and will provide support, comfort, and assistance to wherever there may be a need in our community. Willy will also be participating in community events held by the Village and Police Department.
Willy, a graduate of the prestigious Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Paws & Stripes College, brings specialized K-9 services to the community. His specialized training equips him to offer comfort and assistance to both victims of crimes and children with special needs, making him a valuable asset to North Bay Village.
Sgt. Amy Gordon will be Willy’s primary caregiver and handler. ‘Willy is an incredibly special dog with doting eyes and a big heart. We’re excited to bring him to NBV! Willy has undergone extensive training and is ready to make a positive impact on our community,” said Chief Carlos Noriega, North Bay Village Police Department.
Willy’s role will extend beyond the Police Department. He will become a familiar face in North Bay Village and police community events, where he will play an active role to further our community policing initiatives and build stronger relationships within the Village. His presence at these events will undoubtedly bring smiles to faces and create memorable experiences for all attendees. Willy’s introduction to the North Bay Village community aligns with our commitment to providing exceptional support and services to all members of our Village. We are excited to see the positive impact he will have and the lives of residents he will touch.
