Miami-Dade County Water & Sewer Department Advisory

North Bay Village has been working with Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department to mitigate any disruptions in service at this time. MDWS tells the Village they are taking steps to mitigate the low-pressure issues as much as possible. The County will be responding to customer no-water notifications and will assess. County officials are taking the following steps to address the issues: -Utilizing additional wells -Maximizing operation of booster stations throughout the system -Monitoring remote pressure sensors -Coordinating with other County departments to lower non-essential during the duration of this project These are their recommendations for customers during this time: -Minimize non-essential water consumption while construction is underway for the next 8 days -Skip lawn irrigation days -Avoid washing cars/boats or filling pools Reminder, this work is being done by Miami-Dade County to refurbish a large water main and the work is critical for the entire system. We are feeling the effects of the work here in the Village. Residents will see a higher decline in pressure in the evening. NBV will continue to stay on top of Miami-Dade County to provide updates during this time.
