ICYMI: Last evening, we had an exciting Commission meeting with several special recognitions and presentations. 🎉 View images of the presentation further below.

1) Congratulations to our newly promoted Sergeant Amy Gordon! (Formerly Officer Amy Suarez.) Sergeant Gordon ranked as the number one candidate following a competitive two-part Sergeant’s examination.

She will be assigned to one of the NBV Police Department’s Field Operations Patrol Squads. In her new supervisory capacity, Sergeant Gordon will also be overseeing the Department’s Community Affairs and Youth Programming.

2) The NBV Commission presented a community service recognition to Meteorologist Brent Cameron for his years of service to the citizens of North Bay Village. Each year, Brent Cameron provides our residents with an informative Hurricane Preparedness workshop to kick off Hurricane season and ensure they have the information they need to prepare. Thank you for your service to NBV, Brent!

3) Our August Employee of the Month goes to Police Communications Dispatch Supervisor Robert Miller for his commitment to the Village, his exemplary leadership, and going above and beyond his duties, despite unforeseen challenges. Congratulations, Robert!

4) The NBV Commission recognized Reserve Police Officer Anthony Jimenez for his years of service to the citizens of North Bay Village. Reserve Officer Jimenez has served the Village since 2015 as a Public Service Aide, Crime Scene Technician, and Dispatcher.
