FDOT & NBV Commission hold celebrate completion of safety improvement project North Bay Village and the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) joined forces to mark the successful completion of the State Road 934/NE 79th Street Causeway & Hispanola Avenue Safety Improvement project with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, November 14th. The project, which aimed at enhancing safety measures along Kennedy Causeway & Hispanola Avenue, addresses key aspects of road infrastructure to improve traffic flow and pedestrian safety. The event celebrated the successful execution of these enhancements, showcasing the collaborative efforts of the Village and FDOT in creating a safer and more efficient transportation network. Key elements of the project included the addition of new pavement markings on the northeast side of Hispanola Avenue, featuring new through and turn arrows to optimize traffic patterns. The installation of new signage, pedestrian improvements, and signal enhancements were also integral components of the undertaking.
