North Bay Village Unites for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

During Tuesday’s Commission meeting, we honored Breast Cancer Awareness Month with our dedicated leaders: Mayor Brent Latham, Vice Mayor Richard Chervony, Commissioner Goran Cuk, Commissioner Andy Daro and Commissioner Rachel Streitfeld.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a worldwide campaign promoting regular screening and early detection. NBV is committed to sharing vital health resources with our community.
Did you know? 1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime. It’s the most common cancer among American women.
Early detection is key to fighting this disease.
We encourage all residents to:
1. Schedule regular screenings
2. Learn about early detection
* Support local awareness events
* For comprehensive info on risk factors, treatment, and recovery, visit cancer.org.
Together, we can make a difference. Get involved, stay informed, and support those affected by breast cancer.
Let’s honor survivors, support those fighting and remember loved ones lost.
