During North Bay Village’s Regular Commission meeting, NBV Public Works Superintendent Meagan Cook took to the podium to recognize our very own Ernest Salter, who is retiring after 42 years of service.
In 1981, Ernest started working for the Public Works department and quickly became an exemplary employee.
While developing great relationships with residents throughout the years, Ernest has always demonstrated true leadership throughout the Public Works Department. His work ethic has consistently proven to be second to none. Ernest has been depended on to teach and train new employees that join the Public Works Department. Ernest not only worked for this Village for four decades, but also dedicated his life to bettering this community. We thank Ernest for his unwavering dedication to the residents, business owners and stakeholders of North Bay Village.
Ernest is looking forward to spending time with his family in Georgia and fishing. As a parting gift, Ernest was gifted a personalized watch and fishing rod from Village Staff.
We wish him a very happy retirement!
