79th Street East Bridge Overnight Traffic Shift

FDOT will be closing eastbound lanes along the 79th street east bridge overnight from 9:00PM to 5:30AM and shift drivers to one lane using the westbound side. Drivers will still be able to cross the east bridge. Drivers will be directed to use the westbound side to cross over during those hours.
This closure will occur nightly, Sunday through Thursday for the next two weeks. The channel under the bridge will be closed to all marine traffic during this time. All lanes will reopen from 5:30AM to 9:00PM daily and work will be suspended from 5:30AM Fridays, until 9:00PM.
The closure will allow FDOT crews to continue the bridge rehabilitation project. As a reminder, the east and west 79th street bridges are owned and operated by FDOT and we are sending this advisory as a courtesy to our residents.
