The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Six will host a Public Kick-off Meeting
for the SR 934/NE 79th Street (John F. Kennedy Causeway) Project Development and
Environment Study in Miami-Dade County, Florida. The objective of this study is to evaluate
bridge replacement alternatives to address structural deficiencies of four existing bridges (two
bridge pairs) along SR 934/NE 79th Street.
The meeting will be held simultaneously, both in-person and virtually, on Tuesday, November 29,
2022, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The meeting will consist of a formal presentation starting at 6:45 p.m. followed by an open
discussion. Questions will be responded to as time permits, in the order received. If your question
is not responded to during the meeting, a response will be provided in writing. Persons wishing

sending them to the Community Outreach Specialist. All statements postmarked on or before
December 9, 2022, will become part of the meeting record.
The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable Federal
environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by FDOT pursuant to
23 U.S.C. § 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated May 26, 2022, and executed by
Federal Highway Administration and FDOT.
